Mary Ellen Thompson and Charles Hallaren, Marriage, 1877

Charles O'Holleren (Hallaran) born 1857 married Mary Ellen Thompson, second child of John and Bridget Thompson, on August 2, 1877.  They married at St. John Catholic Church.  The license states that Charles was 22 and Mary Ellen was also 22 when they married.  They were married by Rev. John Waldron.

They had ten known children.

Mary Ellen Thomas (1857-1906) and Charles Hallaran (1857-1902) Death Certificates

Charles died December 7, 1902 of pneumonia and was buried at Calvary Cemetery.  At the time of his death, he was living at 2919 Princeton Avenue, Chicago.

Funeral Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 9:30 a.m. from his late residence, 2919 Princeton Av.  By carriage to St. James Church, where high mass will be celebrated, thence to Calvary. Chicago Daily News, December 8, 1902, Monday, Page 12

Mary Ellen died on January 10, 1906, also of pneumonia.  At the time of death she was living at 375 E. 29th Street, Chicago. She was buried at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
